Coffee

Lam Dong is on land 200.000ha basalts distributed in Bao Loc, Di Linh and partly in Duc Trong, Lam Ha, Da Lat, in accordance with long-term industrial crops, especially coffee. In Lam Dong can be grown all three types of coffee: Arabica, Robusta and Charri with good quality, especially the types of Arabica coffee in Dalat preferred by consumers.

As of 2005, total coffee area of Lam Dong is 117,400 hectares of perennial area of 169,486 hectares of the province, which mostly Robusta species, area coffee business more than 114,152 ha. Yield 18.5 quintals per hectare, coffee production reached 211,497 tons province. Almost coffee available in 11/12 districts, towns and cities in the province - except Cat Tien is now no coffee. Regional intensive coffee is the Bao Lam district (25.804ha), Di Linh (36.072ha) and Lam Ha 32.061ha.

Currently there are nearly 10 domestic enterprises and joint ventures, enterprises with foreign investment, purchasing about 20% coffee, polished for export. Establishments, households and products processed into beverages consumed about 10% coffee, 70% of coffee sales remaining largely outside the province of crude.

Before 1975, Da Lat has five establishments known as coffee roasting ceremony, Cao Nguyen, Tung, Dalat and stars, for domestic consumption. Currently, the brand signed Le, Vinh Ich, Boss, ... but not as strong as promoting Trung Nguyen coffee, but also local people and tourists preferred choice.
