Da Nhim Lake

Da Nhim lake located in the Dran town, far from Da Lat 36km following south east. In 1961, Japanese experts and professionals, workers, Vietnam has built an earth dam 1.460m long, 38m high bar across the river forming Da Nhim 9.7 km2 large reservoirs with a capacity of 165 million m3 . Water flows through a long tunnel 4.878m, 3.4 m in diameter, through our mountains and two hydraulic pressure pipe length 2.340m, forming a column of water 800m high, the water supply for hydroelectric plants Da Nhim located in Pha river (Ninh Thuan) with a capacity of 160MW, was inaugurated in 1964, and irrigation water for the delta province of Ninh Thuan.

For reasons of security, travelers are not close to dams and flood door but could see the lake and Da Nhim river valley from Dran Pass or on the hill after Giac Nguyen pagoda.
